In 2024, through your participations, and a STEM grant, we increased the number of children we served in our Camps and Library events.
This year we have met our goal to add two more tech programs to our
Camps, (see below) . We have also added a Saturday STEM Camp schedule

LEGO ROBOTICS MASTER INSTRUCTOR
Manny Wignall
Is a former homeschool student and graduate of Konos Academy. He is a sought after LEGO Robotics Instructor that has been teaching, coaching and inspiring kids in LEGO Robotics since the age of 15. His LEGO Robotics Team, "The Sky Hawks won the "Grand Champion Award" at the #FLL LEGO Competition". A student of engineering, he is a gifted instructor that has worked with kids from various cultural backgrounds and learning styles.
LEGO ROBOTICS CAMP
The camp experience takes your LEGO adventure and building skills to another level.
Level 1. Working with your LEGO partners to build a functional competitive LEGO Robot.
Level 2. Programming the LEGO Robot to perform different movements and simple specific tasks.
Level 3. Take your Robot to the LEGO official competition mat and test your programming skills and the Robot's performance level.
Skills practiced will include, collaboration, team building, programming, Robotic design, problem solving, resilience, applied math, functionality and simple engineering principles.

He is a former member of the Fern Bank Science Center High School Robotic Team invited to present at the World Robotic Competition, in St. Louis, MO. His work includes, Lead Instructor, Fern Bank Science Center Summer LEGO Robotics Camp, Summer LEGO Robotics Instructor, Volunteer LEGO Robotics Instructor, LEGO TEAM Coach, LEGO TEAM Consultant, After School STEM LEGO Robotics Instructor. He is also a former competitive Jr. Golfer (Atlanta Jr. Golf). and has been invited to speak and inspire students in STEM Education.

AI ANIMATION INSTRUCTOR
Geo Zhou (Zhicheng )
A bi-lingual native of China who is currently pursuing a Master of Fine Arts in Motion Media Design at the Savannah College of Art and Design. He holds a bachelor & #39;s degree in Photography from the Shanghai Institute of Visual Arts, where he developed a strong

foundation in visual composition and storytelling. His work includes, a 2023 3D short film "The Launch Day" which was selected for exhibition at the Hainan Province Mixed Reality Exhibition and the Shanghai International Media Arts Project, both of which are recognized platforms for emerging digital media artists. His experimental work Commute was nominated in the Shanghai Citizen Digital Art Creative Contest, .Zhicheng, His work demonstrates a consistent integration of technical skill and creative vision, reflecting a deep commitment to the evolving language of digital media.
AI ANIMATION CAMP
Is an "AI-Powered based Animated Short Film Project. Each day Camp attendees will build on the skills and project activities from the day before. These AI Animation focused activities will use simple and user-friendly programs that all levels from beginners to experience can participate in. Activities include brainstorming theme ideas, and learning the AI process and application. Storyboarding. and character building will also be incorporated in the animation process. Introduction to short AI film making and other activities will also be included. Very creative fun camp.
FASHION ART/SCIENCE - INSTRUCTOR
Is a bi-lingual 3rd year Fashion Design student at Savannah College of Art and Design. She is a metro-Atlanta native who lives and breathes fashion. "I am passionate about teaching younger generations about the art of fashion and the importance of being sustainable through it. . I am well educated on textiles, environmental sustainability, fashion history, and fabric manipulations."

FASHION ART & SCIENCE CAMP
Each project will combine science, art, and history through textiles, fashion, chemistry, biology, painting, and 3D design. Projects will be based on sustainable fashion, fabric manipulation techniques, fashion history, and other fun hands-on experiences. We will explore what fabrics can be made of, how they affect the environment, and how we can minimize textile waste. Students will also learn skills like basic sewing, knitting, crocheting, and fabric painting/dying to create fun and useful custom art pieces.
